This forum is for the discussion of the Altbeidon Multiverse, a crossover between the Multiverses mythos and various sci-fi, fantasy, and horror media.
Things to do:[]
Name the universe where the different aspects of media can be featured.(The universe will be called Byaha, and will reside in the Altbeidon multiverse cluster.)Finalize Included Media list.(Media List is finalized...for now.)Debate/discuss magic and the Force, and how those will work in Altbeidon.(Xi will replace all other magic or magic-like systems whenever possible.)- Decide which species, tech, etc. to use.

Have an idea for a media source? Suggest it below, with a link that has as much information on it as possible, and we'll take a vote on it. -- Dyga19 20:31, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not familiar with all of the above medias, just so you know. Pinguinus impennis 19:38, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
No worries; I want to add links to each media source, hopefully to wikis dedicated to that source. -- Dyga19 21:01, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
I propose we include Fringe, Transformers, Independence Day, Battle: LA, Jurassic Park, Lost, and Terminator in the media sources. -- Dyga19 21:07, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
Name[]
Okay, step one: we need to name the universe where all these pre-existing species will interact with each other. All the other universes that exist in Obeidon exist in an alternative form in Altbeidon. -- Dyga19 17:10, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
I propose the name of Byaha for this universe. It's hindi for "splice", a rather appropriate title for this universe. -- Dyga19 17:31, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
I like the name Byaha. Pinguinus impennis 17:59, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
Earth[]
Is Earth in this multiverse? Pinguinus impennis 18:08, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
Hmmm...I think it would be, but I was thinking that most humans would have either died out or evolved into the other humanoid species that would be featured (Sebaceans, Elves, Vulcans, Asari, Twi'lek, many others). The Earth of this multiverse would have been aggressively colonized by various alien species (like in Half-life, District 9, The Mist, Hellgate: London, probably many others), to the point that it would be completely unrecognizable. I'm not sure if human descendants would still live on Earth though...the only post-human creatures left would likely be headcrab zombies, and maybe another mutant race (to be decided). -- Dyga19 01:30, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Maybe they could become the vampires in I am Legend. Pinguinus impennis 19:59, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Ohh I like that idea. Do you think we should have more than one sapient post-human race? It'd be cool if we had the Super Mutants and Ghouls from Fallout on Byaha's version of Earth. -- Dyga19 03:23, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- What about the Morlocks from The Time Machine? Pinguinus impennis 04:04, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- And yes, the Super Mutants and the Ghouls are cool. I don't play Fallout, but I found the Fallout wiki. Pinguinus impennis 04:14, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Good thinking on the Morlocks, they'd be a nice edition. And definitely pick up Fallout 3 or New Vegas sometime; they're very good games. -- Dyga19 04:16, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- By the way; when we say I am Legend, do we mean the movie, or the short story? I've read/watched both, and they're two different things. Pinguinus impennis 12:33, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- I've been considering that as well. It's been a while since I read the book (it was awesome though; Matheson is a fantastic author), or seen the movie, but I figured we'd just adapt aspects of both into Byaha's Earth. Maybe use the creatures as they appear in the movie, but with the timeline of the story? -- Dyga19 16:45, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Ooh, let's do that! Pinguinus impennis 19:10, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- So, basically, Byaha's Earth will be covered in ruined cities, inhabited with monsters from Fallout, the vampires from I am Legend, and the Future Predators and Megopterans of Primeval. Am I correct? Also, will there be any more pure humans? Pinguinus impennis 19:10, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- It will be a post apocalyptic wasteland that has survived numerous alien invasions, both from space and other dimensions. Many post-human species survive, like the Ghouls, Super Mutants, and Vampires, as well as a few other extraterrestrial races. Most native wildlife will be extinct, replaced by alien lifeforms or mutants. I'm going to put together a theoretical timeline for this Earth; hopefully that will help demonstrate how all these various sources can be adapted into one setting.
- Also, the closest thing to pure humans will be those that were cloned by the Machines, and have escaped the Matrix and now survive in the real world of Byaha's Earth. The only main difference between them and pure humans is the ability to jack into the Matrix and interface with other machines. Homo Cyberius, perhaps? -- Dyga19 19:30, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- :Cool. I like that idea. When will you make the timeline? Pinguinus impennis 19:39, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm making the theoretical one for Earth now. :-) -- Dyga19 21:01, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- I propose a single colony of pure humans, still surviving in a ruined city. What do you think? Pinguinus impennis 21:35, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not opposed to it. We could probably use Zion from the Matrix as the city they live in.
- Btw, here's what I've got so far for the timeline. It covers a span of about 1,100 years starting from 1960:
Timeline of Earth:[]
1960's-1990's[]
-The underwater city of Rapture is created. The substance known as ADAM is discovered.
-Seabed's Nectar (an addictive substance that increaes strength, among other effects), the Clover creatures, and the Human Scale Parasites are discovered.
-Society in Rapture collapses, and the city is deserted. ADAM & Seabed's Nectar are forgotten.
-Prawn refugees arrive on Earth, fleeing an unknown disaster. They settle in District 9, South Africa
2000's-2020's[]
-An experiment at the Black Mesa facility unleashes a Riftstorm on Earth. Various portals to many different dimensions, planets and time periods are opened; alien flora & fauna begin to colonize Earth, as well as organisms from the planet's past and future.
-Soon after, Demons and the Combine arrive on Earth; a war between the two interdimensional empires ensues, further devastating the planet.
-Humanity and Prawn unite to fight back the invasion. The Alliance is born.
-Vortigaunts rebel aginst the Combine and join the Alliance -Alliance scientists invent and perfect the trans-genetic substance Mixmaster, as well as the Forced Evolutionary Virus. ADAM & Seabed's Nectar are rediscovered and perfected.
-With these substances, they are able to create an army of monstrous creatures. Humans exposed to F.E.V. are transformed into Super Mutants, the first post-human race.
-Early Machines are created to supplement humanity's armies
-Humanity uses its' army of monsters & robots to push back the Combine and the Demons to their home dimensions, ending the war.
-Super Mutants join the Alliance. The Alliance begins to rebuild civilization.
2030's-2080's[]
-Some humans voluntarily submit to F.E.V. exposure; Super Mutant population begins to increase, and remains stable.
-Advanced Machines are invented. The Second Renaissance begins, as the Alliance creates a race of mechanical slaves. -John Lumic creates the Cybermen, the second post-human race.
-Lumic initiates his plan for global domination; several thousand pure humans are converted into Cybermen.
-Lumic is assassinated, ending the Cybermen Rebellions. With his death, Cybermen gain free will and agree to a cease-fire. -Two Machines gain true sapience; B1-66ER and another named "Sonny".
-B1-66ER kills his human owners, while Sonny works towards a peaceful union between Machines and the Alliance.
-The Schism occurs; sapient Machines begin siding with either B1-66ER or Sonny. The Second Renaissance ends.
2090's-3050's[]
-B1-66ER's faction begins to openley attack the Alliance and Sonny's supporters. The Great War begins.
-Sonny's faction joins the Alliance. B1-66ER refuses to relent.
-The nation of 01 is founded by B1-66ER, located on the Arabian Peninsula.
-Cybermen side with 01; captured humans are converted into Cybermen, and their population explodes.
-01 begins using humans as an energy source. The Matrix (a complex virtual reality program) is invented to pacify them while they remain unconscious in the real world.
-After years of fighting, 01 launches nuclear weapons at Alliance cities; the Alliance retaliates by launching its' own nukes at 01. Radiation permeates the Earth.
-Society collapses in both nations; The Great War is ended. All beings must survive as best they can.
-Mutation runs rampant across the Earth. The first Ghouls are born due to high levels of radiation; they are the third post-human race.
3060's-[]
-The Toxic Jungle flourishes across Asia. Ohmu begin to appear in massive, dangerous swarms.
-Surviving scientists manage to engineer the Krippen Virus to cure the virulent tumors pure humans develop as a result of the radiation.
-The Krippen Virus mutates and begins transforming the remaining pure humans into Darkseekers; they are the fourth post-human race native to Earth.
-Homo Sapiens becomes an endangered species; less than 10,000 remain. Its' descendants live on, along with Prawns & Vortigaunts.
3070's-[]
-Homo Sapiens are made extinct by the Daleks, who invade Earth. The Vortigaunts and the Prawns fight them off with the help of the Doctor.
-To be continued.

Crossover Ideas[]
I have an idea! The Veiled Ones could have allied with the Time Lords during the Time War. The Julth could have (temporarily) joined up with the Daleks. Pinguinus impennis 20:32, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Another cool idea! Does that mean that the Time War would replace the Julth War in Altbeidon? -- Dyga19 03:23, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, probably. I told you, I've been thinking of this sort of thing for a while now. When I was bored. :) Pinguinus impennis 04:05, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Just so you know, I'm planning for the Salsenes to have colonies on Pandora and Darwin IV. Pinguinus impennis 16:15, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Sounds cool! :-) Do you mean the Pandora from Avatar, or the one from Borderlands? -- Dyga19 16:40, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Pandora from Avatar. Pinguinus impennis 19:10, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
Magic[]
I propose that we use the Xi system of magic, whenever possible. However, different species might use different variants. For example, dragons might have a more fire-oriented system. Pinguinus impennis 18:03, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
So dragons would probably primarily be attuned to the Pyros spectrum, which deals with fire and destruction. Jedi, for example would probably be most adept at the Natra (nature & healing), and Menta (mind & psionics). I agree we should use it; it covers a wide range of abilities. -- Dyga19 01:30, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Can I join in? But does this xi thing count for all the media species, cause is giving Daleks magic on top of everything else a good idea? Toothless100 - Talk to me 06:02, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Of course you can join in! :-) The more the merrier.
No, it's not for all media species; just the species or individuals that display magic-like abilities. Daleks are purely technological in the Doctor Who series, so I imagine that they would remain that way in this Multiverse. -- Dyga19 07:56, August 23, 2011 (UTC)
Time[]
I was thinking we should divide the timeline up into several epochs; the early days of Altbeidon, followed in chronological order up to the present day, and perhaps beyond (especially if we have rogue Time Lords mucking about...). We could also have a Timeline page like we do for the canon Multiverses stuff. What do you guys think? -- Dyga19 03:39, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
Good idea. Are you going to make the Timeline page? By the way, when can I start writing articles? Pinguinus impennis 04:06, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
- I was thinking we'd start making articles once we had a semi-finalized media list. And yes, I can start making the timeline page once we've worked out the media. We already have about 60 potential media sources we can draw upon (we aren't required to use each one, but this lets everyone know which sources are acceptable), but I was waiting to see if Toothless, Styraco, or anyone else had some suggestions. Maybe I'll shamelessly announce Altbeidon in my blog. Some of the newer members might have ideas too. -- Dyga19 04:15, August 24, 2011 (UTC)
The Doctor[]
I propose we use the Tenth Doctor for Altbeidon, since we all seem to agree there. -- Dyga19 10:23, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, number 10. Toothless100 - Talk to me 10:59, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
Number 10. Will he have Rose as a companion? Pinguinus impennis 11:52, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
A good question...my favorite companions were Rose and Martha. Do you guys have a preference? We can use any companion from the whole series. -- Dyga19 17:18, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, a companion... my favourites were... I dunno really. Any of the recent ones - Rose, Martha, Amy and Rory. Toothless100 - Talk to me 19:26, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
I prefer Rose. Pinguinus impennis 19:54, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
So, Rose Tyler it is, we all seem to agree there. :-) -- Dyga19 21:21, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
